Forgive

After months of feeling confused and unsure of my choices and path, like a veil lifting from my perception, a sense of clarity, positivity and happiness has encompassed me this past week.

I forgive, yes, forgive myself and others for any transgressions. Realizing that all is part of my learning.

and then let go,

fully…

Little resentment balloons pop and I come to ease and peace within, forgiveness is the ultimate emotional cleanser.

A part of Self-love is forgiveness, for self and others.

In holding resentment, one can be held back from the present and truly living. Resisting is futile, what is, is. Forgiveness for self and others is the key to acceptance for life and whatever it may bring. Transformation comes from acceptance, which sometimes takes forgiveness.

Harboring negative emotions about self and others breeds unhealthy thoughts and feelings, essentially hurting self.
We have all made what seem like mistakes, yet, they are only transgressions teaching us.
When one is hurt, it’s easy to hold onto pain. To self-protect a wall can go up, which locks into negative feelings. Shame, regret, anger, hatred, blame, inferiority, superiority and guilt are like blinders to self-love.

I understand, as a human, it can be much easier to stay upset in a hurtful situation and end up playing the martyr or victim. In doing so, one thinks to themselves.. “If I stay upset about this, I won’t get hurt again in the same way”. In actuality, when we stay upset it creates subconscious patterns that lock in on being upset. Therefore, it becomes much easier to manifest situations that create the SAME UPSET, again and again…. hence….
Patterns

Blocking access to love.

Resentment and anger justify being upset and caught in a “story”. I say story because we create stories with our perceptions, everyone has a different side.
Over time resentment festers and grows into ugly, nasty wounds that can take up inner peace, tranquility, ease and happiness, also causing unhealthy mental and emotional patterns about perceived “story”.
We don’t ever fully know what another person has gone through and why they do what they do, until we walk in their shoes, which is an impossible technology thus far, all we can do is empathize.

Rather that hold onto the hurt or upset, letting go, by forgiving is the most liberating feeling one can incur through trauma and hurt.

There is the thought that “If I forgive, it’s a sign of weakness.”
Quite the contrary, forgiveness is a sign of the absolute strongest, a sign of resilience and the practice of a master.

Have you ever hurt someone?
Have you ever been hurt by someone?

Do you have the inner resilience to let that go?

Forgive yourself
Forgive others…

And come into Empowerment.

Forgiveness Meditation

Taught by Marianne Williamson.

Sit quietly with yourself, breathing in light and love and on the exhale all negativity.
Envision you and the person you wish to forgive or ask forgiveness from.
Allow whatever emotions come up to surface, until you feel and understand your pain, or theirs.
Then see white light surrounding yourself and the person/people.
As you stand or sit connect a light to one another’s heart and visualize your individual lights growing to envelop one another, spreading farther in peace.
Speak, think, feel whatever you need to in order to come to clarity and happiness, letting go of any old stories or upset. If you can, thank the individual for being a part of your experience.
Envision whatever you may believe in surrounding the person in a love and light “temple” as you depart from one another.
Whenever you think of the person in painful thoughts or emotions, visualize this temple of light taking it all away into the forgiveness that you just created.

If you feel it is necessary, you can do more than once.

Repatterning

No one is flawless, we are not machines, we are organic, living beings with unique idiosyncracies. In flaws a perfection is found, a rhythm that connects us all.
Like the seasons, we all have our deaths and rebirths of self.

To look a pattern as a tool to learn from can leave one empowered, re-patterning is one of the most beautiful processes of transformation.

It is said that the worst will happen before a pattern shifts, weeding the constucts that have created it, a witnessing before release.
If you can’t see patterns and self-actualize, how can you shift and create what is desired?

As humans we are naturally attracted to what is comfortable, an old pattern. When they are overgrown perceptions that no longer hold true, they can be debilitating, like a trap holding us in irrelevant thoughts and feelings.

Perspective comes from emotional, mental and physical contructs of how we have perceived our reality. Our experiences create our perceptions, becoming beliefs of self and world.

We have all done things that are not always representative of what we truly want to do and be, the process of self-actualization is becoming aware of these patterns. When experiences that are not liked happen over and over, it means there is something to acknowledge.
Changing a pattern means altering behavior, thoughts and feelings to suit the vision of what is desired. This can occur by going within and seeing what is behind a pattern. Digging into the deeper thoughts and emotions within self.

Sometimes jugdement of self is greater than judgement of anything.

Blame, shame and guilt go hand in hand, from dogmatic conditioning. Through fear of failure or making a mistake, many overcompensate by finding what is wrong and blaming the outer world. In having to be right a judgement frame of reference is created, inhibiting true freedom.
Holding onto shame, blame and guilt will not lend to transformation.
Many think one perspective and way of being is better than another. This is a lack of empathy for the whole picture. Look at our world, and the many levels this is played out on, from the micro units of family, to the macro of countries and religions.
Having to be right is tied into our competitive drive for success, it can become disempowering because one is right and one is wrong, equating to a feeling of failing.

Am I right? πŸ˜‰

Fear of failure boils down to not wanting to look bad by peer/work/social/family group. Looking bad means making a mistake, being wrong, not feeling accepted for one’s choices, estrangement, rejection, or the root….

Not feeling loved.

Caring what others think is a natural and biological part of being human. It’s a genetic pattern to protect us from being alone, to cooperate in group, healthy to a certain extent. When too much emphasis is placed on caring what others think, the inner world and self confidence can be squelched.
When we expect ourselves, our lives and others to meet expectations and they’re not, the result can be a myriad of negative emotions ie. disappointment, anger, sadness, fear, alienation, etc..

Take disappointment and become empowered. Shift anger into motivation. Take shame and guilt and turn it into objective observation of self.
Thought

“OK, I see this, and I wish for something different…..”
Intend it into existence.

Acceptance first has to start within.
Trust and let go of any guilt or shame that you are doing something incorrectly. For you are absolutely perfect right now, in this moment, exactly what is meant to be.

Repatterning

It takes 21 days to change a pattern.

I have seen many of my own patterns surface lately, parts of me that are not always what I like, nor desire. I view these patterns as something to learn through. Life is a choice, to be a victim to self and circumstances, or re-create the shift that is needed. Re-patterning is a part of my self-actualization.

Gathering my energies, I will sit in meditation twice a day. I feel what I wish to shift, appreciate, and surrender any negative thought and emotional pattern surrounding it.

This is a conscious monitoring of everything I think, speak and feel. With effort and patience, I hold my vision firmly, positively, and feel good about life. Not allowing myself to be distracted by what is not working, instead loving what is. Affirmations lend to this, I come up with them as I go along, usually the opposite of what I don’t want.

This is a game I am creating to see what will happen after 21 days. If you wish you can do your own re-patterning with me from home. See what comes up for you, what you wish, visualize and feel it into your life.
You can share if you’d like.

Vitamins, Minerals and Remedies

Due to many inquiries into remedies, vitamins and minerals as of late, I am again compiling and recycling information that I posted before. Of course, this is only scratching the surface of information that is very complex. These remedies, supplements and vitamins are crucial to a healthy state of being for me, especially during the winter, I notice a dramatic improvement in the way I am feeling from taking.

Raw Apple Cider Vinegar

The benefits of this cure-all range from weight loss, arthritis, cholesterol, skin disorders, sinuses, anti-aging, and so MUCH more.
2 tlbsns Taken with 8 oz of water is also an incredible detox and preventative for the body. Can be used in dressings and for baths, and foods. Can also be used as an astringent, clearing skin, tightening pores, while giving a more pronounced glow.
If purchased, make sure it is RAW, meaning that “the mother” (probiotics) are present.

Algae

These are all “Brain Foods”

Cyanobacteria (Blue Green Algae) is the oldest life form on Earth. It is one of the most nutrient dense sources containing minerals, vitamins, probiotics, enzymes, B12 and chlorophyll.

Chlorella is an immune system booster, aiding in the treatment of many symptoms. It assists in the chelation process of removing heavy metals from the cells and body.

Spirulina is a freshwater algae that contains vitamins, minerals and high protein. It aids in the regeneration of brain cells. Since I have taken on a daily basis, my memory has improved drastically.

coconuts

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

An antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-fungal. EVCO contains Caprylic and Lauric acids, assisting the body in warding off disease, virus and stress.
Helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels, increased immunity, proper digestion and metabolism, while also aiding in thyroid production. Helps to regulate digestion, and provide long-lasting energy.
I take 3 Tblspn daily. If ingesting for the first time, start off with 1 tlbsn/ day, building up to 3, as it can causeΒ herxheimer reaction.
EVCO can be used in place of butter when cooking.
It can also be used as a moisturizer, I prefer it over a store-bought moisturizer.

Probiotics

Helps the intestinal flora stay healthy, repopulating the “good” bacteria that can sometimes be destroyed by antibiotics, stress, and unhealthy eating habits.
Probiotics are found in many foods including Kombucha, Kefir, yogurt, ACV, Sauerkraut and Kim Chi just to name a few.

Multivitamin

One a Day, Centrum and the likes are not properly digested in the body, resulting in only a small portion of them being absorbed, I do not suggest buying these brands.
Multivitamins that contain whole foods are the best to take and absorb easily. A liquid Multivitamin is truly the best form to take. These can be found at health food stores.

Fish oil

Fish oil contains DHA, EPA and essential fatty acids, including omega-3’s.
Important for brain function, mental health and lubrication of the body.
Flax seed oil can be used instead for vegetarians having its own components of Omega- 3’s. Good for arthritis, the heart and anti-aging.
Brain Foods. Krill oil is an especially good form of receiving DHA and EPA’s.

B Complex

Needed for energy production and to help lower stress levels. Good for mind, mood, memory and anxiety. They assist the cells in burning fat and glucose for energy.
B-12 helps with energy levels and works with DNA production by promoting a healthy nervous system. B-12 is best taken sublingually or intravenously.

Zinc

Zinc assists in a healthy immune system and for proper wound healing. It is needed for DNA synthesis and helps in the regulation of cells within the body. The body contains high amounts of Zinc, which is especially important in supplementing when one is ill.

5-HTP

Naturally boosts serotonin levels and wards off depression. An aid for sleep, I take with Rhodiola and find a major improvement in my levels of well-being.
There are researches being done, stating that it may help with many other functions within the body.

Iodine

An extremely important mineral that assists in thyroid production.
Most of our breads are made with bromine which blocks iodine uptake, causing thyroid and hormonal problems.
Iodine is essential for proper thyroid functioning. I take an iodine supplement daily.
Good food sources of Iodine include seaweed, especially Kelp.

Kelp

Vitamin D3

Highly effective in the winter when there is not as much sunlight and our bodies are not naturally producing D3. It is immune boosting and aids in cell differentiation; good for cell growth and wound healing. D3 Has been shown to be cancer preventative.
If the sun is out during the winter, sitting in it, even if it’s through a window for 15 minutes, can naturally boost D3 levels. I stare directly at the sun when it is out, this boosts D3 as well as other vitamins and minerals.

Magnesium

Relieves migraines, depression and insomnia. Helps relieve PMS symptoms, chronic fatigue, prevents heart attacks and reverses osteoporosis. It is very calming, when taken with 5-htp, a great sleep aid.
Magnesium is needed for calcium production, studies have shown that most American women are deficient in magnesium. Magnesium is needed double the amount of Calcium.

Milk Thistle

Assists in repairing liver cells and promoting regeneration. Milk Thistle raises the glutathione levels and helps guard against toxicity from alcohol. Studies have shown that silibinin, an active compound of silymarin (found in MT) is effective in fighting cancer in lab studies.

Liver Flush

There is a Liver flush which consists of drinking 1/2 cup of olive oil with grapefruit juice. It is quite intense, yet helps immensely.
http://www.ehow.com/way_5585384_epsom-olive-oil-liver-detox.html
Our liver is where the body holds anger and negative emotions, in cleansing it, one can find more tranquility and peace.

Sacred Sexuality

“In our language we call women’s power over men Shakti. If Shakti disappears, the creative force in society is inhibited, the men lose their virility and become mechanical in their habits” Rabindranath Tagore, Indian mystic ~ He believed that the relation between the sexes in India under patriarchal religion was so distorted that the Shakti power could not function”- Excerpt from the Great Cosmic Mother.

Creation takes form in the throes of sexual union; the most powerful force that we as humans can undertake with another. A process that becomes like a fire, igniting infinite possibilities. The essence of humanity is formed in the embers of these fires, a flame that is creation, found within each and every one of us.

It is a drive for life.

Sexual union is one of the highest expressions we can give to another. It is a beautiful and intimate source of letting oneself go; mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. A source so great that when built properly can become ultimate glory.

When one finds sacred sexuality within true love, it can become a gorgeous process, powerfully intertwining sexual energies, while the relationship evolves in other forms. Allowing each partner to become each other’s sexual dream; while understanding feelings and needs.

The Lovers

As highly evolved as our brains are, we are still mammals. It is a primal and instinctual need to find a mate, be touched and have intimacy. We can view this as evolution at its finest, merging our higher and lower brain functions of emotions and cognitive thinking with our primal mammalian drives. We are pleasure deriving beings, which can be a happy, loving experience, or the opposite. Through balancing the pleasure and pain with consciously evolving and transforming, we make progress as a race.

The idea that sex is only a physical process is preposterous. When connecting sexually, each partner takes on the other’s karma. In shamanic teachings it states that a woman, as the holder (womb), contains a man’s energy for 6 months to a year, a man holds a woman’s energy for less, 3 to 6 months.

Sacred sexuality can be found in texts worldwide from Western and Eastern mysticism and practices. In Tantra, which translates as mind-blowing/expanding in English, sexual union is viewed as a building of energies, leading to Kundalini awakening and higher divinity through orgasm. If that great rising, libidinal force comes up and through during union, it has the power to transform both people. When awakened, this force can lead to enlightened states of existence. The awakening of Kundalini can be a harsh process of metamorphosis, once awakened it works through as a life force of its own.
Sexual union is one of the most divinely powerful forces we are gifted to create and manifest from. Reverence for sacred sexuality becomes a state of surrendering.

Sexuality is a beautiful power that’s been brainwashed to be taboo, or lessened as just a physical expression.

Before the patriarchy Hindu caste system came into place in India, there was reverence for the woman and in Tantra she was revered as the vessel for great sexual power coming through. I don’t think this is relegated to just females having that power, it represents the power of what can come through orgasm and the connecting of the chakras together in sexual union with a partner. A sensual and physical rush and place that is pure bliss when reached.

How do you feel about sexuality?

VisionQuest

Knowing something beyond the existing life I was living was to be experienced, I left an old life behind, to wander and seek out my inner vision. I was led through different terrains, to the extremes and back again. The desert heat and dryness wrung out inner demons, the mountains called into the quiet of my being. The ocean strengthened and purified, the fires of lava lit up the flames of creativity and desire. Lastly, the jungle and forest whispered to me of sacred sensuality.

Visions of my truth revealed through a quest of visioning.

“The visionquest, or perceiving quest is the way we must begin this search. We must all follow our VisionQuest to discover ourselves, to learn how we perceive of ourselves, and to find our relationship to the world around us” ~ Hyemeyohsts Storm

In Native American and other indigenous cultures a visionquest is a right of passage, marking a turning point in life. A traditional quest is done for three days, while fasting, consisting of venturing alone into the wilderness. As deep internalizing occurs, a vision may come to the seeker.

The quester is able to reach parts of the mind and spirit concealed by everyday living. In a state of purification, left with the devices of nature, this vision reflects the seeker’s true calling. The seeker is in a state of high consciousness, lending to a more enlightened state. An animal totem may appear as a guide, lending it’s magical traits to the quester.

“In many traditional cultures and spiritual paths, such a glimpse is called a vision, a soul calling, or the intuition of destiny β€” which never arrives in cultural terms, such as a job or social role, but rather embodied in mysterious, usually nature-based symbols, themes, or patterns.” ~ Bill Plotkin

In his book “Nature and The Human Soul” Psychologist Bill Plotkin breaks down life cycles according to a Jungian, nature-based model of existence that reflects the Native American medicine wheel. This is separated into 8 phases, healthily allowing one to become a true elder. He theorizes that people in Western civilization are stuck in patho-adolescent phases, that in our materialistic world, even as adults, most are not connected to their true natures. This is in part due to not having healthy and celebratory rites of passage, nor being in touch enough with the elements. He proposes that a part of becoming a healthy, functioning adult is seeking mind-expanding sources. Western civilization craves and seeks out these sources subconsciously, in sometimes unhealthy ways.

If one can’t face the unknown by bravely heeding the call, how can it be to consciously evolve?

As humanity and technology progress, teachings within dance, music, trances, plant medicine, sweat lodges, nature and visions can aid us in unlocking the keys to our evolution.
Leaving all expectations behind, when done with conscious intention, these techniques help the ego transform. Intense breakthroughs in consciousness can occur, sealing in the purpose of self with glimpses of one’s highest purpose.

Visions are waiting to be revealed in each and every one of us, what quest will it take for you to perceive yours?

Intuitive Opening

What I am telling you can’t be proven by statistics, science or logic, it is just my way of experiencing my gifts within this world. My natural attractions and aversions are much easier for me to understand in the place that I am in. What I have realized is that I no longer have to surround myself with anything that is detracting from my personal sense of happiness, love, freedom, joy and abundance.

My heart is my guiding force, where I feel through the most. When something is right, it will flutter like an expansive, lovely feeling. When something is not right it shuts down, feeling dark, empty and cold.
When I go into a room, or hold an object, I will understand energetically what has taken place before through flashes, colors and feelings, in different parts of my body. I call these feelings empathic residue, which I am able to “tune into”. If something doesn’t feel right, I can bring love in, which shifts energy dramatically.

We all have the ability to feel within our body’s innate intelligence what is right for us, it is only a matter of opening up to it.

Opening up to Your Intuitive Capacity

Intuition is not easily explained, nor found in a book the many forms it can take. It is a higher knowing, that each person understands for self moment to moment, coming from one’s higher force.

Learning to trust self is one of the most important aspects of being a sovereign being. Imagine if we taught children to trust themselves and their knowing, how empowered every person would grow up feeling.

As we are coming into 2012 there are many theories abound. Some propose that instead of the apocalypse, humanity is evolving into higher conscious beings.
I believe that our evolution will come in a rapid leap of consciousness.
We are coming into heavy realizations about our world. One of the most pertinent is that our world can no longer be an unbalanced system, for our actions affect not only us, but our planet, animals and future generations and perhaps even the whole universe.

Opening the pineal gland is an aspect of raising consciousness, connecting to this gland is an enlightening experience. There is so much to be said about the pineal and pituitary gland, since this is already lengthy, I will give you an easy opening meditation, and some links, if interested please do research and come up with your own decisions.

The pineal gland located in the center of the brain is known as the seat of intuition, related to the third eye chakra, this gland allows access to higher states of consciousness.

Meditation for Pineal and Pituitary Opening

The pineal and pituitary gland both secrete fluids. The pineal is white and the pituitary is yellowish gold. I like to sit quietly breathing in and out light, to then focus intently upon the pituitary gland.

Visualize the third eye chakra with white light coming from the pineal pouring out of the third eye. Two minutes.
Then visualize the light connecting to the occipital lobe, which is where we are able to comprehend our intuitive abilities.
Visualize this radiant white light lighting up all parts of the brain.

How open is your pineal gland?

Nicole

Vibing with an Empath

Think of this as an escapade that we are about to take, all I ask is that you open your mind to something that is a little outside the norm. These are feelings I don’t usually address, in doing so I am taking you into a different world and part of me.
These topics I will explore over a series of posts, for a gift can manifest in many forms.

I feel it is important to discuss my gifted abilities which once were highly misunderstood by me and others. We all incorporate emotions and attributes along a gamut, we are a collective pod. Therefore, this is to give you more understanding of who I am and other light-workers, Indigo, Crystal, and star people who may have similarities. I don’t feel there is enough information out there on these types of abilities and how to further develop them, in my case I’ve noticed being an empath has developed into becoming more telepathic when I hone in on my intuition and am vibrating at a higher conscious level.

Empaths are like mirrors to the environment and people, they are able to tune into what is occurring on many levels, even sub atomic to quantum, I believe. Empaths can be very sensitive to everything that goes on around them, for it is felt deep within them. The understandings of people and environments come with a vibration, which are felt by empaths. Empaths understand others pain, sometimes to a physically debilitating point. They are able to see behind people’s words and actions to what is underneath. Empaths have a deep ability to see into people clearly, and view others psyche’s. When faced with negativity an empath will become withdrawn, quiet and introverted. When there is positivity an empath will light up with excitement and happiness.

I feel others light and beauty, which gives me hope for humanity and the survival of our species. This gift has many facets to it, far more than empathic now. It allows me to understand and see patterns. Every person has their strengths and weaknesses, helping others to see their best heals me. I am able to take energies from others so they feel better, which is what empaths do. I call it transmuting.
I can feel thoughts, actions and deeds directed at me. When one feels love, happiness, joy, freedom, acceptance, and compassion, etc, I feel unlimited in my expression with them, my heart feels glorious.
Judgement, jealousy, anger, fear, possesiveness, gossip, hatred etc. making me feel withdrawn and tired. I feel this all from far away as well, only to then feel love for the negativity and people who it is coming from. Love cancels out all negative feelings and experiences. In shamanic teachings there is a term for this, which I will get into in more detail. I can feel those I’m close with long distances.

I am able to tell when people are hiding or lying by understanding intentions, even beneath the surface. This ability as a child caused misunderstanding for others, unable to process what I didn’t know, it left me confused. This is where my introversion started to happen. I had a nature of understanding people, yet couldn’t understand my integral gift. Discerning what is mine and anothers has taken a while to develop for myself.

If we look at one another as mirrors, instead of judging, we can feel illuminated. Judgement hurts the judge and judged, so why judge?
I like to ask myself what is it that is irking me, how can I allow it to empower me?

I believe that every human has a gift, when we start opening to understanding it can help our life immensely. I believe that all people are empathic to some level. I will elaborate on more tools, techniques and ways to access your gift in the next few posts.

What is your gift dear one?

Nicole

Dream Manifesto

If there is a purpose to my life, it is for me to live my dream, a dream that will shift as I continually evolve as being human. My dream encompasses all parts of my being, as I fully embrace who I am.

I am at a pivotal point, where I am being tested in my strength and resilience. A test in life of perseverance to stay true to my dream. My pride is absolved in a physical state pared down to the basics. I am learning patience for my purpose and how to carry out the larger picture that I envision.

While the stress and question creep in, I entertain them for a bit only to banish in place of healthier thoughts and feelings. My scenario is not what I dreamt of yet it happens to be a part of my dream.
This is an extremely humbling state, reinforcing within me how to be happy and grateful for what is occurring right now.

That is the true power of manifesting, is it not?

You will get a glimpse of the starving artist I have become in my book, at some point.
This state of existence will not deter me from my course. I shall push through with strength for my purpose. The one thing that has amazed me is how incredible my loved ones have been, thank you all for coming through so wonderfully!

My current purpose is to write as creative expression. To share with you however that may come through, far beyond a conventional fashion. Success, happiness and love is felt through assisting others into their highest potential, while bringing collective ideas to the forefront of our world. A TV show dream is in the works, a vision I’ve had for years.

Success will come to me, not from giving into the system, but from following my heart and settling for nothing less than what it whispers to me.
In only the way that IΒ know how.

Am I happy, is that happiness an internal state of existence?
While materials provide comfort and ease, they are not where my happiness and dreams arise from.

The question I ask is
What am I learning and creating for my life?

Creating my life to be my dream, will naturally attract prosperity and abundance to me. My dream and success fall in line with WHO I AM, rather than WHAT I HAVE.

Free to be me, my dream is to be happy. To have a magical, synchronistic existence, full of fun, laughter and most importantly love. Being childlike in my creative endeavors.
To build upon relationships with friends and family, those whom I love dearly, creating positive support structures that provide reciprocally. To write, travel and create a life of adventure that allows me to be a world-bridger while helping to ease feelings of suffering and tragedy. To consciously evolve with creativity, passion, purpose and ease. Flowing into the path of least resistance, while attracting the dream I wish to manifest into existence.

My dream is to be the best I can be, for me so I can be for the world.Β I will be me powerfully, owning every part that comes through, with love for self as my guiding force, that love allows me to fully love others.

My vision of the world is to see it blossoming. For all to access potential and dream; individually and collectively. Where we are no longer separated by a fear paradigm, instead united in love, compassion and tolerance. With every person guided to their individual creative expression and purpose.
I see a vision of a healthy, thriving, clean, green earth for everyone, while rebalancingΒ the unbalanced hierarchy.
This being a snippet of my dream.

What is you Dream Manifesto?

Mamasita en Chicago

We have all sprung from a mom. That momma may be biological or adopted, or perhaps a mother figure, either way the presence is unmistakeable. Mom’s hold an unmistakeable force.

Being born is maternal love by source, the essence of being born is force taking action to create. Being born is human, living is our essence and being is our choice.

My mom came to visit in Chicago last weekend for her birthday. At a time where our bond keeps growing stronger, this was special time spent together, a time of indulgence in cool autumn interwoven with inner warmth and lovely feelings.
We did the local and touristy to-do while in the Windy City.
Our first stop was my place in Lincoln Park, where my roommate, a gifted piano player, played a mini concerto for us consisting of Beethoven, Mozart, Shubert and some groovy jazz.

Ray’s B & B

After questioning if we wanted to stay in the city or not, my mom and I decided to give it a go at a local bed and breakfast in the Bucktown/ Wicker Park area. Ray’s was exceptional and affordable. We were impressed with the comfortable, homey feeling that was provided. Every morning there was a menu for us to choose our homemade breakfasts from, with meals like eggs florentine or banana and nutella stuffed french toast. There was also bottled water, coffee and tea provided throughout the day. Ray’s has an eclectic, worldy, roomy and modern feel to it, with a relaxing sauna and steam room to indulge in. Ray and staff are incredibly warm and inviting, it feels like family. If you want to feel at home while being spoiled in Chicago, this is a great place to consider.

The first night mom and I bit-bopped over to a party in Logan Square, where she met a different type of family, you could call them my “musical family”.

This family is one that comes together for the love of music, fun and connecting. With the bass beat thumping and good friends vibing, mom was able to hear the music that is my soul’s beat.

Rewster’s

Next to the space is a cafe called Rewster’s, where good people and friends converge. A quaint and cozy cafe that has great energy. Here they serve incredibly rich and robust coffee and have a french-inspired menu using the finest ingredients. With breakfast, lunch and dinner, there are choices from sandwiches, soups, salads, pizzas and many other delectable goodies.

Ruby Room

Spa day for mom. I had heard from many sources that Ruby Room was a great experience. Integrating a spa, salon, store and boutique hotel, Ruby Room is centered around a spiritual approach. I booked my mom a massage, facial, blowout and makeup application. She said the service was impeccable, everyone was friendly. The massage and facial were directed towards different chakras and energy centers. With a cute store and wonderful products I recommend Ruby Room.

Bin Wine Cafe

After going to the many boutiques that dot Milwaukee, we decided to stop into Bin, a wine and cheese restaurant. The atmosphere was toasty and airy with a garage door open to the autumn streets. We decided to warm ourselves with a “flight” of red wines, consisting of four selected half glass specialities. To complement the wine we ordered four separate cheese selections, made from goat, sheep, buffalo and cow’s milk, each distinct and complementing one another splendidly.

Between Peruvian Cafe

My response…. AMAZING!
The first time I’ve had a Pisco Sour since being back from Peru. The ambience is warm, red, intimate and inviting. Between embraces Peruvian flavors, with a quinoa salad and a sauteed vegetable rice dish, we delved into all the spices of our South American fare. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here.

Millenium Park & Navy Pier

The last two days were spent traversing around the city. I felt as though I was getting a new taste of Chicago, my first time on these adventures. We went to see The Bean, a landmark at Millennium Park. We then walked our way over to Navy Pier, where we took a ride on the ferris wheel.
Touristy? Yes…. To feel like a Little girl again, timeless & priceless.

This weekend was filled with the giddiness of youth, and the pleasures of indulgence. Mom left me with a feeling that I am very loved It was an incredible weekend, thank you so much mom!

Seeing Love through Pain

How do you wish to choose your experience?

We can find love and access beauty even while experiencing what we absolutely despise. Truly, it’s just a matter of perception. To view any task as an obstacle of teaching, helps to cultivate a state of gratitude for whatever life is bringing. Leading to empowerment in any given situation. Life is not always easy, and can be downright disheartening. With a view from a separate angel, perhaps an epiphany can be brought to light.

The essence of raising the vibration consists of bringing ourselves up, when all hope may be lost.

There have been times in life, where I have been at my lowest. Unable to understand how things could possibly get better, comprehension of the bigger picture will occur.
Those time periods are tests of personal strength. If I can get through something that may appear to be surmounting difficulties and see it with a fresh perspective, that issue will tend to dissolve out of my life.
Upon resolution, the light will filter through. What I felt was so traumatic, was only, in fact, something that builds character.

The ups in life are heights of crowning achievement, grandiose beauty with glamorous feelings.
The lows, the lows are our defining moments, how we carry ourselves forward. They build our strength and resolve in self and teach us the discipline of a seasoned warrior.

How can we understand ideas like compassion and tolerance for another, if we aren’t subjected to something that shakes our world up?

We never know what someone else has gone through, judging from the outer realms becomes a parody on self.

Life is a composition of the ups and downs, like music, the downs are the nostalgic beauty of the whole piece.

Feel out your pain, your sadness, your fears and doubts, and remember, it will get better. This is a part of your journey. Over time, it becomes your choice how you perceive these lows in life.

Pushing forward teaches perseverance.
perseverance builds patience.
Patience creates a deep understanding for life and others.

When things may seem disturbing, traumatic, monotonous, horrible. All efforts may feel in vain, and relationships could be falling apart, the bottom seems to be dropping out, nothing is working right.
You may not want to care, you may feel like giving up hope, you may not understand what is happening.

Realize in these time periods;

Life is more than what we are seeing, this is building you to be an even more resplendent being.

You have a purpose, push through, you can do it.
Find something right when everything is going wrong.

Somehow, some way, life will work its way out.

I promise you, dear human, there is a purpose for everything. Perhaps destined or not, either way;
Can you find your purpose for being?
Can you see the infusion of what has created you?
The uniqueness that comes from your individual expression and experience?

Life is your choice.

I will be talking more about raising the vibration in a separate post.
